The Equal Educational Opportunities Committee (EEOC) was formed in 1969 to promote equal educational opportunities for individuals in all ethnic and racial groups and eliminate their isolation in education. The committee developed policies and guidelines to desegregate schools in Wisconsin. The guidelines developed provide a methodology of identifying instances of segregation and corrective procedures. The minutes and connected materials from the EEOC itself are identified under the heading Equal Educational Opportunities Commission. Also present are materials for a number of sub-committees including the Advisory Committee, Consumer Economics Committee, Education Committee, Housing Committee, Human Relations Committee, Internal Advisory Committee, Native American Studies Committee, Policy Advisory Committee, Social Studies Committee, and the Teacher Education and Certification Committee.
