Abstract:
Records of juveniles admitted to the institution between August 1860 and December 1950. Each record includes name, case number, date of birth, date of reception, official from whom received, date and court of commitment, reason for commitment, sentence, family history, previous history of inmate, education, physical condition upon admission, nationality, religion, at whose expense child was kept, institutional history, school record, parole record, and comments. The school was primarily a male institution, but accepted females before 1870 and on isolated occasions thereafter.
