Abstract:

Institutional records of men who entered the Wisconsin State Prison between January 1933 and December 1940. The files typically include a summary fact sheet, record of previous offenses, medical and psychiatric examination records, photographs, and various administrative records relating to confinement, parole and discharge. This is a sample of the cases from file number 20,852 to 26,075. Every tenth file was retained, beginning with a randomly chosen number.
