Abstract:
Correspondence, mainly 1950s-1983, with accredited nursing schools, hospitals, nursing homes, local government health departments, vocational schools, visiting nurse associations, and other health care providers concerning the education and training of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Included are correspondence, annual faculty qualification reports, annual reports concerning training and education programs and the facility in which the service is provided, publications, narrative surveys prepared by board staff, and background documents submitted by individual schools to support certification. The disc is a recording of the graduation exercises of the class of 1969 of the Stevens Point School of Practical Nursing. Later files include similar materials for hospitals, nursing homes, local government health departments, factories, and other organizations seeking approval as extended units in which student nurses could receive practical experience.
