Abstract:
Closed investigations of complaints that resulted in hearings and disciplinary actions. The files include letters of complaint, investigative reports, correspondence, transcripts of hearings, findings of fact, and other legal documents. Among the most common offenses are illegal advertising, alcohol and drug abuse, and sexual misconduct. Also included is an alphabetical index of dentists and hygienists whose licenses were suspended, primarily for nonpayment of fees, during the period 1945-1960. Many of these licenses were originally granted much earlier in the century. Brief biographical information in the index includes name, local addresses, date of license, dental college attended, license number, and payment history.
