Abstract:
Applications for licensure of deceased professionals, including historical summaries of the applicant's professional career and, in some cases, photographs; plus correspondence requesting verification of Wisconsin registration for other states. Also included are registration renewal requests, letters notifying applicant of acceptance, and often the date of the applicant's death. The series includes the files of Frank Lloyd Wright and Eero Saarinen; the Wright file is housed in the Archives' Autograph file. About half the folders are color-keyed as follows: yellow, architects; pink, designers; blue, land surveyors; and white, engineers.
