Abstract:
Correspondence, price lists, test reports, performance data, blueprints, depreciation estimates, progress reports, field books, and administrative memoranda compiled in the valuation and inspection of steam railroad and utility property by J. G. D. Mack, professor of engineering at the University of Wisconsin and chief mechanical inspector for the Railroad Commission and the State Board of Assessment, later the State Tax Commission. A majority of the files concern inspection of municipal water works.
