Abstract:

Administrative records, primarily 1938-1969, of state fair officials Ralph Ammon, Willard Masterson, and Jack Reynolds concerning the overall management of the annual Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis. The records cover a wide range of administrative subjects, but only three folders concern the period before 1938. Files regard the promotion of Wisconsin agriculture, the development of the Alice in Dairyland program, entertainment attractions at the fair, relations with county fairs in the state, with related state agencies, and with professional associations, and other topics.
