Abstract:

Justice Court dockets of A. Eaton (1884?-1892), J. B. Carpenter (1889-1906), W. G. Bate (1924-1939), and others, recording actions taken in civil and criminal cases brought before the justices of the peace indicating the names of the plaintiff and defendant, dates of various actions and proceedings, court costs, and the verdict given. Cases include fraud, garnishment, child support, disorderly conduct, operating illegal gambling devices, and assault and battery. Arrangement is chronological by dates of service of justice concerned, thereunder in two categories: civil and criminal.
