Abstract:

Drawings made by James F. Wilkins during his 1849 trip along the Overland Trail. The drawings, which document his journey from Weston, Missouri, to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, include views of Fort Leavenworth, Fort Kearny, Chimney Rock, the Black Hills, Independence Rock, and Cathedral Rock.
