Abstract:
Group photographs of men drafted for World War I military service from Racine, Wisconsin, by Local Boards 1 and 2, 1917-1918. The photographs, made prior to the draftees leaving for training, show the men in civilian dress and include the training center destinations for each group. Includes two groups of African-American men before departing.
