Abstract:

Papers of a Republican legislator from Neenah who served in the Wisconsin Assembly from 1983 to 1990. Included are correspondence from Winnebago County constituents, advocacy groups, government officials, and legislators; memoranda; bill drafts; and reference material. Prominently documented topics include abortion, aging, the state budget, child care, child custody, the Fox River, retirement of public employees, K-12 schools, and property taxes. Some files directly relate to Walling's work on committees such as special Legislative Council committees on Child Custody Arrangements and on Condominiums and Time Shares and to her tenure on the Joint Survey Committee on Retirement Systems.
