Papers of John Van Nortwick, a railroad engineer and Illinois industrialist, who owned some Wisconsin properties; including correspondence, 1831-1884, 1942; diaries, 1848-1890; and account and memoranda books, 1828-1890s, on microfilm; with paper typed transcriptions of correspondence between Van Nortwick and his father and sister (originals on Reel 1) and photocopies of correspondence of his father-in-law, Meredith Mallory, 1832-1850 (on paper only).
