Abstract:
Records, 1964-1978, of the National Council for Unconditional and Universal Amnesty (NCUUA), an organization that worked to gain amnesty for Vietnam draft resisters and deserters during the 1970s. The collection documents the broad campaign for amnesty during the Vietnam War carried out by the NCUUA through administrative and financial materials, correspondence, publicity, photographs, and audio recordings. Additionally, the collection documents similar efforts by other amnesty organizations, particularly Americans for Amnesty (AFA), which merged with the NCUUA in 1975.
