Abstract:
Papers of J. Charles Park, a professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, who specialized in the study of modern American right-wing groups and movements. The research files primarily document specific topics or particular organizations with a politically conservative focus, such as paramilitary groups, parents' groups, and religious organizations. Especially well documented are the issues of the Equal Rights Amendment and parental concerns on education, including school prayer, sex education, and creationism vs. evolution. A small amount of material documents left wing groups.
