Abstract:

Correspondence, newsletters, minutes, annual reports, news clippings, and other records of the La Crosse County affiliate of the Wisconsin Women's Political Caucus. The Caucus promoted the election or appointment of feminist candidates to political office, sponsored forums to advance the public discussion of issues of concern to women, and lobbied for relevant legislation. Also present are by-laws and some reports, minutes, and newsletters of the Wisconsin Caucus. Originally non-partisan, the state group began supporting selected candidates in 1976.
