Abstract:
Correspondence, memoranda, statistical reports, and other materials to and from various local governments, the Wisconsin Emergency Relief Administration, and other state and federal government agencies relating to unemployment relief, rural rehabilitation, work relief, CCC programs, the Wisconsin Transient Bureau, and other relief efforts. Materials relate primarily to the administration of relief programs but include some information on problems of poverty and on local conditions. The County Relief Group consisted of cities, villages, and towns in the Eau Claire region excluding the City of Eau Claire which administered its own relief program through a Public Relief Department.
