Abstract:
A summary record of proceedings in civil and family cases which provides a quick synopsis of the events of a particular case and may be seen as the “table of contents” for the case file. Included are the names of plaintiffs, defendants, and their attorneys; a listing of papers filed and date of filing; and a listing of proceedings and dates with references to the books these actions are found in (Order Book, Judgment Book, or Judgment Docket). There is an alphabetical index to plaintiffs and defendants at the front of each volume listing case file number and page number where the case can be found in the Court Record. This index serves as the main access by plaintiff and defendant to the Circuit Court Case Files (Dunn Series 51).
