Abstract:
Papers of William Preston, a colonial and frontier political figure in Virginia, and a few of his relatives. Business and military records concern Preston's land dealings and his role in Indian negotiations. Also included is correspondence with prominent military and political figures, as well as some papers of James Patton and John Buchanan.
