Abstract:
Interviews and sermons of Father James Groppi compiled by Edward H. Blackwell, one of the first African-American reporters for The Milwaukee Journal and the first with his own column. Blackwell wrote about the conditions of blacks in the South and reported on Father James Groppi’s efforts in the civil rights struggle in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, compiling these recordings for a proposed biography of Groppi which was never written.
