Abstract:
Tape-recorded interviews conducted in June 1975 by James A. Cavanaugh of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin staff with John D. Fitschen, general manager of Wisco Hardware Company, concerning factors leading to the 1976 liquidation of Wisco and Fitschen's opinions on the influences of big business on the American economy, the problems of small businesses in an economy of bigness, how wage-price freezes hurt small companies, and the psychology of businessmen.
