Abstract:

Records concerning lobbying investigations by the Ethics Board and its predecessor agency, the Secretary of State, that are open for research either because they consist of case files that predate the creation of the Ethics Board in 1990 or because they include audits, on-site reviews and other types of records now considered confidential. In 1990 when the Ethics Board assumed oversight responsibility for lobby law enforcement, it was determined that the investigation case files created by the Secretary of State were open. However, no records of this type have been transferred to the Archives.
