Abstract:
Records, 1962-1974, from the Bureau of Environmental Health concerning radiation and air pollution protection. Primarily documented are groups such as the Air Pollution Advisory Council, Milwaukee County Department of Air Pollution Control, Natural Resources Board, and Wisconsin State Board of Health Radiation Protection Division. Files include meeting minutes, correspondence, studies and reports, and articles and publications. Also included are transcripts of public hearings regarding air quality standards from several Wisconsin cities. The collection also contains the development files for the Radiation Protection Code, including drafts, correspondence, and final copies, from its inception and several revisions and additions. The Council was covered under Section 140.56, Wis. Stats.
