Abstract:
The collection contains records of the director of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries and its predecessor institutions, the Library of the Wisconsin State Teachers College, the Kenwood Library, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Library. The records document the library's growth and the development of automated systems. Included are adminstrative minutes, planning documents, annual reports, and library committee information. The collection documents major acquisitions, including the move of the American Geographical Society Collection to UWM, lecture series and other programs, the Friends of the Library and the Staff Association. Also included are newsletters, various publications and guides, and photographs.
