Abstract:
Resolutions and reports from the Committee on Ordinances to the Common Council, 1870-1928. The documents are categorized into subject subseries, therein chronologically. The resolutions contained in this series are but a small sample of the city government legislation the committee dealt with, but most pre-1932 resolutions were filed with the main subject matter rather than in a subject called Ordinances. The resolutions in this series represent the other subject areas that did not neatly fit into any other committee. These are: building codes (1916), city government (1870-1928); city employees (1873-1925); curfew (1900), fuel (1904-1916), health & safety (1902-1922); Influenza epidemic (1918), liquor (1902-1919), and littering (1895-1903).
